Oversized pulleys already offered major advantages, such as lower chain friction, but their flexibility penalised shifting precision.
The new Kolossos cage with oversized pulleys is the stiffest on the market, up to 2 times stiffer than any conventional cage and up to 3 times stiffer than competing cages of this type. It is also 40 g lighter than its closest competitor. This exceptional stiffness makes the Kolossos cage perfect for both road and gravel bikes.

The Kogel Kolossos set consists of a cage made up of two removable plates, a 12-tooth pulley and a 19-tooth pulley. Both pulleys feature ceramic bearings.
It will be available in black, red and gold for Shimano Dura Ace R9100, Ultegra R8000, RX800 and GRX rear derailleurs. The RRP of the Kogel Kolossos will be €400, with a special pre-order promotion price of €350 available until the end of January 2020.
