Isn’t it strange that brake pads haven’t improved in 10 years? That is the question Anthony and Ben, two French engineers and passionate cyclists, asked themselves before getting to work and developing the AMP carbon brake pads now distributed in Spain by Bike Sur Sport. With them, your brakes will perform like never before thanks to carbon’s low heat transfer, stiffness and light weight.

AMP carbon brake pads: eliminate overheating, reduce vibration, cut weight and boost performance
At AMP, all mountain project, they have developed very light and stiff brake pads by replacing the steel or aluminum backing plate with a carbon one. This saves around 13.7 g per set, but the big breakthrough lies in this material’s low heat transfer. Carbon conducts 38 times less heat than steel and 280 times less than aluminum. AMP brake pads run 12% cooler than conventional pads.
The stiffness of the carbon plate means the brakes do not squeal from pad vibration, so forget about annoying screeching with AMP pads.
A commitment to the environment also runs through the entire AMP project, with a recycling program through which any user can send in their worn carbon pads to be processed in the French recycling network.
AMP brake pads are available for the main mountain bike and road models in organic and ceramic compounds. They are now arriving in Spain through us and will be in shops in the coming days.
